Wall Street hit as Deutsche Bank fine triggers bank rout

U.S. stocks were lower Friday afternoon as Deutsche Bank's mammoth $14 billion fine weighed on financial stocks, especially on the big Wall Street banks. The far bigger-than-expected penalty was levied by the U.S. Department of Justice to settle claims that the German bank missold mortgage-backed securities. Deutsche Bank's U.S.-listed shares were down 9.4 percent.
