Sarawak-based stocks make gains

KUALA LUMPUR: SOME Sarawak-based companies rallied on Bursa Malaysia yesterday, following Barisan Nasional’s (BN) convincing win in the state election on Saturday and despite the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI closing 1.04 per cent, or 17.7 points, lower at 1,632.19.
Analysts said Sarawak-based counters which did not perform yesterday were still expected to rally this week.
