Fire breaks out on Shell Deer Park refinery crude unit: sources

HOUSTON (Reuters) - A fire broke out on a crude unit at Royal Dutch Shell Plc's 325,700 barrel-per-day (bpd) joint-venture Deer Park, Texas, refinery on Thursday, said sources familiar with plant operations. Shell spokesman Ray Fisher confirmed a fire at the refinery, and said workers at the complex were sheltering in place. Fisher said the company would release a statement about the fire.
