Boeing posts wider loss than expected as Air Force One costs weigh on results
Boeing disclosed a net loss of $428 million, or 67 cents per share, for the second quarter, representing an improvement from a loss of $612 million, or 92 cents per share, in the comparable period a year prior. The company recorded a $280 million loss specifically tied to its Air Force One program, which involves manufacturing two 747 aircraft for delivery to the U.S. government. The manufacturer stated it expects to deliver the first of these jets in 2028.
