Transport Stocking Density Calculator

Stocking density, predicted by pig weight, ambient temperature and humidity, is to be used as a guideline. The Health of Animals Regulations require those people who transport, or arrange transport for, live animals to assess all risk factors that could be viewed as impacting the animal’s capacity to withstand transport. Stocking density must be adjusted accordingly when there are additional risk factors present including: poor/decreased ventilation, time spent stationary (e.g. in traffic)
