Manitoba’s PED Elimination Plan Proves Effective in Containing Outbreak

In early December 2024, Manitoba reported its first and only case of Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea (PED) for the year in a finisher operation located in southeastern Manitoba. This incident activated the province’s PED Elimination Plan, which has since demonstrated its effectiveness in containing the outbreak to a single farm.
