The United States has gotten serious about Bitcoin — though maybe not as serious as some had hoped. On Thursday, President Trump signed an Executive Order to establish a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, and a U.S. Digital Asset Stockpile.Essentially, this means that the U.S. government now treats Bitcoin as a reserve asset, similar to gold.
