Now that almost any citizen of the internet can conjure a funny photoshop or GIF with ease, the video game mod has become a high-bar of lowbrow goofs. Mods, short for modifications, are tweaks that change how a video game looks or operates. Sometimes the goal is to improve the game, elevating the visuals or adjusting the difficulty, but my favorite mods are the one-off jokes.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is a go-to home for the goofy mod. Last year, we cataloged some of our favorites: one dropped a whale
