Google Play Newsstand starts showing Accelerated Mobile Pages on Android and iOS

Google has started showing lightweight, fast-loading Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) in its Google Play Newsstand news and magazine app for Android and iOS.
The launch only applies to free content. “We are exploring extending it for paid content in the future,” Sami Shalabi, head of product and engineering for Google Play Newsstand, wrote yesterday in a blog post.
