Gmail for Android now lets you send and request money

Google today announced an update to Gmail for Android that has been a long time coming: the ability to send and request money. You can download the latest version of the app now from Google Play.
Google first added the functionality to Gmail for the web in May 2013, long before Google Payments was formed to handle all your financial information. That means it took the company almost four years to bring the feature to Android, for whatever reason.
