Apple files patents for a touch-sensitive stylus and hand-detection technology

Two patent applications filed by Apple and published to the US Patent and Trademark Office have shed some light on what the company could have in store for users of future generations of the iPhone and iPad. The first is a stylus with multi-touch sensors along the body, which can determine finger position and be used for gesture controls on the corresponding device.
