'American Gods' is blessed with a Season 2 renewal after two episodes

The TV deities are smiling on American Gods — Starz has given a Season 2 renewal to Bryan Fuller and Michael Green's modern-day fable two weeks after the show premiered.
Based on Neil Gaiman's beloved novel of the same name, American Gods has earned more than five million multiplatform viewers for its first two episodes to date, according to Starz, with the first episode setting a premiere record for the network in live-plus 7 ratings with 1.6 million viewers.
