‘Ailing’ Buzz Aldrin medically evacuated from South Pole
Buzz Aldrin, the former NASA astronaut who was the second person to walk on the Moon in 1969, has been evacuated from the South Pole where he was taking a tour.The National Science Foundation, which provided the medical evacuation to McMurdo station, a research center run by the NSF, said in a statement that Aldrin was “ailing,” but that he is in stable medical condition, according to The Washington Post.
