Defense Secretary Mark Esper became the latest Trump administration official to be fired by presidential tweet Monday.Trump’s decision to fire Esper was not entirely unexpected.NBC News reported Thursday that Esper, who had upset the president this summer because of his opposition to using active duty troops to quell the nationwide protests for racial justice, had prepared a resignation letter.
