William Kenneth McIver Jr., 89, of Dyer passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, in a local hospital. He received a scholarship for music from Notre Dame, but chose instead to answer the call to be an ordained Southern Baptist minister. He pastored many churches in several states for more than 60 years. He graduated Taylor University in Upton, Ind., and attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
