Virginia Belle Midkiff Amos Remes, 84, of Hampton, Va., passed away at 4:43 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2016, at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Va. She was born in Philpott, Ky., on June 13, 1932, the daughter of Leamon and Adela (Hendrix) Midkiff. After graduating high school at 16, she attended Southern Illinois University and the University of Oklahoma. She was married to Bob Amos and had four children.
