Saturnino Alcayde Jr.

Saturnino "Al" Alcayde Jr., 84, of Fort Smith passed peacefully to be with his lord on the early morning of May 7, 2016. Born in the town of Laredo, Texas, on Dec. 13, 1931, he was the oldest of five children of Saturnino Sr. and Delfina Alcayde. Early in life, he grew up on Army bases where his father was stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, and Fort Belvoir, Va. He moved back to Laredo and graduated from Martin High School. At the age of 19, he joined the Air Force and served his country
