Roy Svendsen

Roy Svendsen, 82, of Liberty, Okla., died Saturday, April 9, 2016, in Fort Smith. He was born on Oct. 18, 1933, in Trondheim, Norway, to Hagbart and Anna Svendsen. In 1950, he immigrated to the United States with his family, settling in Brooklyn, New York. In New York, Roy was a carpenter and residential building manager. In 1977, he relocated his family to Oklahoma, initially to Tulsa, and in 1979, settled in Roland, where the family owned and operated the Interstate Inn.
