Phillip Mathews

Phillip "Red" Mathews, 61, of Muldrow passed away May 2, 2016, in his home. Red was born April 4, 1955, in Sallisaw to Paul Edward and Ruby Bell (Knapp) Mathews. Phillip went to work when he was 15 at Baldor, and he told them he was 16. He then entered the Army, serving from 1974-76. He was then employed by the Sequoyah County Water Association for 27 years. He and Corena Maxine Roastingear were married Sept. 10, 1977. He was a hard-working man all of his life, a loving husband, father and papa
