Born in Midland, S.D. on Nov. 20, 1938, she was the eldest of three children. Paula graduated from Deadwood High School, where she was a cheerleader, editor of the Bear Log, and tied for All School Queen in 1956. She married John Milos on Jan. 5, 1957.
