Mary Ellen Hammond

Mary Ellen Hammond, who resided in the Coles Chapel community, passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston. She was born Sept. 10, 1922, in Logan County near Booneville to the late Edward Knight and Ollie (Kerr) Knight. She was 93 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Haroldine “H.H.” or “Zeke” Hammond; one sister; three brothers; and a half-brother.
