Linda Anne Hughes was born to Jessie and Pecolia Richardson Ivery in Dalhart, Texas. Linda was very young when she developed a passion for reading. She also loved education and in particular, the subject of math. She completed her bachelor's in accounting from Brown University. Even as a small child, it was obvious she would be a social butterfly. She loved people. She worked for the state of Arkansas for many years.
