Kathleen Fortner

Kathleen P. “Kathy” Fortner, 91, of Fort Smith went home to glory April 16, 2016. She was born Dec. 29, 1924, in Conway to Roscoe and Nellie Maye Tomson Perkins. She graduated from Branch High School in 1942 and attended the College of the Ozarks. Later, she worked at Fort Chaffee during World War II. She spent the majority of her career working for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department and later served as Secretary for the Department’s retiree association. K
