J.T. Cherry

J.T. Cherry, 94, of Sallisaw passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016, in Sallisaw. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 14, 1922, in the Paw Paw community, Okla., the son of William "Oce" and Nettie (Scott) Cherry. He married Hermena Louise Spencer on April 26, 1947, in Fort Smith. J.T. was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, retired from the Department of Human Services as the food stamp program supervisor and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Sallisaw.
