John Deaton

John McQueen Deaton, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away May 4, 2016, at 72 years of age. He was born Sept. 28, 1943, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Hobart and Lois Deaton. He attended Texas Christian University and received his M.D. from the University of Texas Medical School, Galveston Branch. He married the love of his life, Lubi, on June 29, 1974. He served two years in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Sill, Okla. In 1976, he and Lubi moved to Fort Smith, where he served as a card
