Hugh Hammersly

Hugh “Blackie” Hammersly Jr., 97, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, March 1, 2016, in a local nursing home. He was born Dec. 6, 1918, in Fort Smith. He was a Fort Smith High School graduate, attended the University of Arkansas, was an Air Force veteran of World War II, started Southland Furniture Co in Fort Smith and he a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith.
