Floyd Slate

Floyd Gene Slate of Huntington passed away suddenly Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016. He was born on Sept. 11, 1952, in Jonesboro, the third son of Lenard and Barbara Slate. He was raised in Mansfield and was 63 years old. Floyd served in the U.S. Army and married Margaret (Margie) Salamanca on Aug. 16, 1973. They were married for 26 years. They raised three children, Doug Jr. Carl and Sherry Slate and have one daughter, Sonrisa (Risa) Ann Slate. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jack;
