Emmett Proffitt

Emmett Carol Proffitt, 90, of Ozark died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, in Ozark. He was a retired welder for Franklin County Road Department and of the Christian faith. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He was born Aug. 17, 1925, in Colbert, Okla., to Yancy and Mary Smith Proffitt. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nancy Deihl Proffitt; two daughters, Ellen Proffitt and Susan Proffitt; a grandson, John Proffitt; four brothers, Bill, Roger, Y.B. and Richard Proffitt.
