Eleanor Riser

Eleanor Schenk Riser died March 17, 2016. She was born Feb 10, 1931, to Joseph R. Schenk Jr. and Margaret Erman Schenk in Fort Smith. A devout Catholic, she attended St. Boniface School and St. Anne’s Academy where she was football homecoming queen. She attended Fort Smith Junior College where she was a cheerleader. In 1952, she met and married Roger M. Riser of Yazoo City, Miss., while he was stationed at Camp Chaffee. They were married until his death in 1999. She was a member of Immacul
