Charles Knittig

Charles Albert Knittig, 87, of Fort Smith left this world to be with his maker April 1, 2016. Charles was born Jan. 14, 1929, in Morrison Bluff into a Catholic family. He remained a devout Catholic throughout his life as a member of Scared Heart Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Charles was a veteran of the Korean War and ardent patriot to his last day. Following the war, Charles went to work for the Dr. Pepper Co. and met the love of his life and partner of 59 years, Mary Alice Knittig.
