West Edge limps to a close with - Agrippina'

After the exhilarating triumph of "Powder Her Face" and the more modest but undeniable delights of "The Cunning Little Vixen," it really did seem as though the West Edge Opera could do no wrong. Then the final installment of the company's summer season, a labored and unsteady account of Handel's early "Agrippina," landed with a dull, dispiriting thud at the abandoned 16th Street train station in Oakland.
