Sam Smith has been nominated for several Grammy awards

Sam Smith leads a strong British contingent of music stars in the running for honours at next year's Grammy Awards. Smith, who has gone from strength to strength after landing the Critics Choice prize at the Brit Awards earlier this year, has had huge success in the United States and has garnered a total of six Grammy nominations, which make him joint leader with Beyonce and Pharrell Williams.
