Confirming the first act playing at Glastonbury has been easy for festival organisers - it was Lionel Richie they were looking for. The Motown legend will follow in the footsteps of Paul Simon, Neil Diamond, Dolly Parton and Shirley Bassey by performing on the Pyramid Stage in the festival's Sunday teatime slot.
