Musical benefit in memory of internees

Thousands of Japanese Americans spent the war years at the Topaz Internment Camp in central Utah, and one of them was the father of Mark Inouye , the San Francisco Symphony 's brilliant and stylistically versatile principal trumpeter. The history of the camp, and the internment experience in general, holds a deeply personal importance to him.
