J. Geils Band opens for Seger at Mohegan Sun Arena

The J. Geils Band has no trouble filling venues for its own concerts, but still the band members jumped at the chance to be the opening act on Bob Seger's Ride Out tour, which plays the Mohegan Sun Arena Saturday night, Dec. 6. "It's a bill that makes sense," singer Peter Wolf said in a recent phone interview. "Seger is such a fine singer and a lot of his roots are the same roots we have, so I think everybody sort of wins.
