Foo Fighters Tie Tom Petty For Most Mainstream Rock Airplay Top 10s
Foo Fighters match Tom Petty, solo and with the Heartbreakers, for the most top 10 songs in the 40-year history of Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, as “Making a Fire” jumps 15-9 on the survey dated July 17.
“Fire” is the Dave Grohl-led rockers’ 28th top 10, dating to their first in 1995, when “This Is a Call” peaked at No. 6.
