Equality California to Honor Laverne Cox & Norman Lear

LGBTQ civil rights organization Equality California announced on Friday (Sept. 4) that it will honor Normal Lear and Laverne Cox at a Sunday, Sept. 13 virtual celebration. The Golden State Equality Awards will see the 98-year-old TV pioneer behind culture shifting shows such as All In the Family and The Jeffersons receive the ally leadership award, to be presented by friends/fellow legends Gloria Estefan and Rita Moreno (both of whom feature in One Day At A Time, a reboot of his ’70s/&rsqu
