University of Georgia music business professor David Lowery leads the California-bred bands Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven. He is, after all, the leader of both the indie-rocking Camper, formed in Redlands in 1983, and the more radio-friendly Cracker, formed in 1990 in the Bay Area.
