Hair stylist who introduced new blow-dry techniques at her salon in MayfairRose Evansky, who has died aged 94, was from the early 1950s to the mid-60s the only woman with a major salon in Mayfair, London, and was a pioneer in the use of the hand-held blow dryer. She regarded her work as a personal service, rather than a vehicle to promote herself.
