Can we divorce to avoid the higher stamp duty on second homes?

I own a property but my husband does not, so if we got a divorce and he bought the property we think we could save thousandsQ I was wondering if, under the new stamp duty laws for second properties, it would be worthwhile considering a divorce before purchasing?
