Netflix Picks Up 'The Raid' Reimagining With Gareth Evans & Michael Bay

The Raid is headed to Netflix with a new re-imagining.
Deadline reports that the film franchise is being rebooted by the streamer with Gareth Evans teaming up with Michael Bay and Patrick Hughes boarding the project.
The original film, which was a breakout hit in 2012, was written and directed by Gareth.
It followed an elite Indonesian S.W.A.T. team that becomes trapped in a tenement run by a ruthless mobster and his army of killers and thugs.
