Sophie Kinsella, author behind Confessions of a Shopaholic, dead at 55

Sophie Kinsella was first diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer in 2022, and revealed the diagnosis in 2024. In a social media post announcing her death, the author’s family said she “took nothing for granted” and battled her illness with courage.
