Xbox One ups party chat invites to 12 in new update

A new update for the Xbox One, available now, increases the limit on players allowed in party chat from eight to 12. Fan feedback indicated strong interest in raising the number of party chat participants. Xbox Live's Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb, who announced the news on his blog, linked to a 2014 Xbox.com thread urging the company to change the maximum number from eight.
