PlayStation 4 price joins limbo dance

The PlayStation 4 console will benefit from a price drop in Japan from October 1. Currently retailing at JP¥39,980 ($334), the entertainment machine will instead sell for JP¥34,980 ($292). Upon a 2013 release in North America and European regions, the PS4 was pegged at $399, €399 and £349, meaning that at launch it had a much lower price as well as more powerful innards and a better appreciated membership system than the Xbox One.
