Destiny 2 Servers Down for Maintenance

If you're hoping to get in some Destiny 2 time today, you'll need to wait until later today, as the servers are currently undergoing maintenance.
The server maintenance is expected to last around 4 hours, according to Bungie. The maintenance period is scheduled to end at 12 Pacific Time, or 3 pm ET/8 pm GMT/6 am ACT.
Bungie didn't give a reason for the maintenance, but offers a generic explanation on the help page, saying Destiny servers will sometimes undergo "scheduled or emergency maintenance
