Chrono Trigger Director Shares Which Ending He Personally Thinks is Canon

Chrono Trigger is considered by some people to be one of the best RPGs of all time. (In fact, it ranks #1 on the IGN Top 100 RPGs list.) It has many different endings, however.  During a recent interview with Chrono Trigger's director Takashi Tokita, I asked him to weigh in on which ending he personally thinks of as canon. Here was his response (ye olde spoilers ahead!):
