Toyota invests heavily into robotics and artificial intelligence research for car safety

Toyota’s Research Institute (TRI) has announced new artificial intelligence and robotics projects, including collaborations with MIT and Stanford University. TRI will start off with a $1 billion fund to use over the next five years.
