The latest ransomware harasses users by encrypting tax return documents

Trend Micro has discovered new ransomware that focuses on encrypting tax return files. Called PowerWare, it infects a target user via a macro in a Word document, and requests $500 or more in Bitcoins to remove the encryption of a file.
