Square Enix not thinking about Final Fantasy XIV sequel, new Final Fantasy MMO

Square Enix is not working on a sequel to Final Fantasy XIV or a new Final Fantasy MMO. From the developers' comments, it appears that support for the game, which was first released in 2010, will continue for years to come.
