New procedure makes it possible to transplant organs from seemingly incompatible donors

A new procedure called desensitization will make it possible for doctors to transplant organs like kidneys and livers from incompatible donors. Instead of submitting to dialysis or spending years on waiting lists, any patient would be able to accept a donated organ.
